How To Take The Perfect #Selfie by Celebrity Makeup Artist Mary-Ashanti: Step 2

Hey loves!! I'm back with day two of How to take the perfect selfie and today we'll be focusing on hitting all the right angles (pun intended #mathjoke)! You'll need some time to practice, so let's dive right in!

Step #2: Learn to Work your Angles

Figuring out 'your angles' is  a super important ingredient for a quality selfie. It literally has the power of liposuction on your face. You want to stay away from looking head on the camera because this can cause unflattering images. Tilting your face a bit to the left or the right truly allows the lighting to hit your beautiful face structure complimenting all your fave features!

If you love your lips then pose in a way that makes them a focal point. If you have bomb cheekbones, be sure you angle your face slanted enough to fully capture them! If your brows on fleek then be sure the best brow is a bit more forward and show them of love! A true selfie is empowering and gives you an opportunity to celebrate your natural God gifted beauty!

PRO Tip: To discover your best angles:

Step 1: Turn your phone to front face camera and slowly move your face to different angles.

Step 2: Every time you think you hit a great angle snap a photo.

Step 3: Take about 30-50 images.

Step 4: Swipe through the images and minimize it to a final 5 and then compare the angles of them. 9 times out of 10 they all will be similar.

I'll be back tomorrow for more! Make sure you learn your best angles in the mean time you angels! :)

xoxo,
