Lets be real, the love of your life slides the ring on your finger and by the end of the night your already pinning wedding dresses, wedding hair, wedding makeup, bridesmaid dresses etc! I mean, you try to stay focused, but who can be focused when you're getting marrrrried! So you Cinderella spin, swiftly transforming into an event planner-- only there's 10 billion tasks to get done and you have no clue where to start!

Let me first say, CONGRATS!

Second, I am with you, I totally get it, and more importantly I got your back.. well when it comes to all things beauty that is!

Okay.. so first things first..

Be realistic: Take a sec and scroll through your selfies album in your phone (don't lie you know you have at least one selfie).

What common factors do you see with your hair? Is it always up? Do you like hair in your face? Do you like your ponytail high or low?

A key factor to the best wedding hair is staying true to you & choosing the style that accentuates your fave features.

Do your homework: Go pin crazy.

Search things like "updo for fine hair" or "half up half down for wedding" or "curls for round face". Be specific and customize your hair search for styles that will compliment your wedding style, face shape, hair texture etc.

Consult with your stylist (#MADEUpMaven) about whether the chosen look is possible for your hair or if it'll take hair extensions. If hair extensions are suggested, be sure to have them to try out during the trial.

Be super specific: It is so important to clarify how you want your style to look from all angles. I suggest a front, back & profile pic to give the stylist the ability to create your ideal vision. Just remember, everyone will be taking candid pictures of you so you want to be stellar no matter the angle!

Why do you like those 50 pins? What do they have in common? Once you figure that out you can narrow it down to about 3-5 inspiration images.

Hair vibes: Pay special attention to details such as where & how intense you want your volume to be, how you want the style of the curl to be, how high or low you want your up-do to be. Whether you want to have bridal hair accessories or not. At what point you want to take your veil off. All of these things definitly factor into your final style & knowing what you want will allow you the opportunity to truly execute the look you want.

Bring your vision to life: Now that you have pieced together your perfect bridal hair style inspiration, go into your bridal preview excited & ready to collaborate! The best wedding hairstyling comes from the woman that communicates what she wants, voices her honest opinion and helps to guide her stylist to the vision she wants to see. We don't expect you to be the expert, we just want to know what you like! If you don't love it just tell her! No wedding hairstylist will ever be offended by you knowing you best! Your bridal preview is a session dedicated to creating what YOU love and what makes YOU comfortable. Trust your stylist, she is fully invested and an expert in what she does!

I truly hope this has helped you find the wedding hairstyle of your dreams! Remember, this day is all about you and you deserve the best. So invest the time, energy & conversations to creating your fave hair day ever!
